Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Charles Green made the kick off which started today's match. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Charles Green managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shoal creek's supporters rose to their feet, but Charles Green was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benedict Romo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Roosevelt Blanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberto Odell made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Darrell Pollard sent off a good shot on target. Roosevelt Blanco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Alvin Landers fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lander's protests and gave Alvin Landers a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lander! 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lander's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tyron Kurtz was slow to take the kick. During this time Shoal creek's players had a chance to rest. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bryan Blanco during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Lander getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Bryan Blanco hit a great ball. Lander's Benedict Romo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roosevelt Blanco in the 29th minute of play. Benedict Romo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shoal creek. The supporters of Lander booed when Shoal creek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles Green didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bryan Blanco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roberto Odell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Tyrell Fitzpatrick hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Lander's Miguel Irvin tried to score from far away in the 42nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Roberto Odell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Darrell Pollard in the 43rd minute. Roosevelt Blanco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benedict Romo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roosevelt Blanco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Winfred McNeill to make the kick off. Roosevelt Blanco might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benedict Romo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roosevelt Blanco ran back to his position shaking his head. Darrell Pollard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Odell having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Shoal creek's Teodoro Fournier got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Roberto Odell came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Lander's Darrell Pollard. But to his dismay, Darrell Pollard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Benedict Romo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norman Broussard, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Charles Green fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedict Romo having to interfere. Charles Green received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Benedict Romo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Shoal creek's Roberto Odell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darrell Pollard in the 75th minute of play. When Teodoro Fournier fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shoal creek's protests and gave Teodoro Fournier a yellow card for diving instead. In the 75th match minute, Shoal creek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Fournier to maneuver through the defense. Roberto Odell came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Lander's Winfred McNeill. But to his dismay, Winfred McNeill quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 88thth minute of the game Winfred McNeill who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shoal creek's Roberto Odell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Roosevelt Blanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Norman Broussard fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shoal creek's protests and gave Norman Broussard a yellow card for diving instead. In the 93rd match minute, Shoal creek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norman Broussard to maneuver through the defense. Miguel Irvin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roberto Odell. Shoal creek's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Shoal creek players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Lander.
