In the 14thth minute of the game Lawrence Parson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Skippack's Steve Cummins was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 15th minute, Sylvester Becker left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The National FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Lawrence Parson did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Steve Cummins 21 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the game, Lazaro Dickens threw the ball into play from the sideline. National FC's Emmitt Dorsey quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Skippack's Steve Cummins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Skippack from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, National FC's Kraig Ruiz got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reginald Ivey in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walton Dubois prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lazaro Dickens made in the 43rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Otto Pickens however managed to control. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Lawrence Parson took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Steve Cummins to make any attempt to save it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lawrence Parson made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luther Freeman in the 52nd minute of play forced National FC's goalkeeper Walton Dubois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lawrence Parson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. National FC's Walton Dubois proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save National FC from getting a goal against them. 61 minutes into the match, National FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Medeiros came free, but Walton Dubois reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Skippack's goalkeeper Steve Cummins, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Skippack's Luther Freeman got a free kick in the 80th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lawrence Parson in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Steve Cummins saved Skippack from getting behind. 90 minutes into the match, National FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Medeiros came free, but Walton Dubois reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
