An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Adams in the 2nd minute of play forced Raleigh's goalkeeper Jason Beyer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giuseppe McAlpin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Woodrow Gore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Woodrow Gore managed to get in a good position for a shot. Raleigh's supporters rose to their feet, but Woodrow Gore was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giuseppe McAlpin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Waylon Walker got free with Jason Beyer in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 22nd match minute, Raleigh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Zapata to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Raleigh getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waylon Walker couldn't finish the play. Christian Adams might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jason Beyer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Christian Adams made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Waylon Walker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jason Beyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Waylon Walker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jason Beyer having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Raleigh's Woodrow Gore dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Waylon Walker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Jason Beyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Metasoccer's goalkeeper Giuseppe McAlpin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Woodrow Gore. If Woodrow Gore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the game, Ernesto Billings was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Metasoccer's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Raleigh the free kick. Ernesto Billings hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Waylon Walker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 92 minutes of play, Metasoccer's Christian Adams made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jason Beyer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Metasoccer's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
