Donnie Lancaster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Jean having to interfere. After 14th play minutes Tommie Sullivan shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Walter Jean and just under the crossbar into goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Connor Singleton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Show Low FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Connor Singleton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fred Bailey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd minute Tommie Sullivan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walter Jean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Connor Singleton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Fred Bailey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Show Low FC booed when Highview FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bailey Myles didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bailey Myles during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Highview FC's Bailey Myles got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 28th minute, Donny Medrano sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Highview FC's Fred Bailey didn't even have to move. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Walter Jean successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Angelo Honeycutt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tommie Sullivan was the one to do the kick off. Connor Singleton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fred Bailey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Walter Jean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Honeycutt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Trenton Pritchett's late challenge caught a Highview FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Trenton Pritchett helped the player get up and apologised. After 64 played minutes Show Low FC got a freekick which was hit by Trenton Pritchett. Walter Jean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommie Sullivan in the 67th minute of the match. Fred Bailey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Connor Singleton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. George McLain struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Fred Bailey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Show Low FC. Highview FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Connor Singleton 72 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. George McLains short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Fred Bailey to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tommie Sullivan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Walter Jean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Terence Reilly hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Tommie Sullivan came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Highview FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tommie Sullivan couldn't finish the play. In the 94th minute Tommie Sullivan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walter Jean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Highview FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Show Low FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
