The referee ignored Ambridge AFC's protests and gave Marquis Hartman a yellow card for diving instead. Cristopher Moon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Craig Curtis, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Gilberto Barton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristopher Moon having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Barton in the 45th minute of play forced Ambridge AFC's goalkeeper Cristopher Moon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The supporters of Ambridge AFC booed when Burlingame FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnold Hoff didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Ambridge AFC's Cristopher Moon got control of the ball when Gilberto Barton tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ambridge AFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
