Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sammy Ezell kicked off to start the match. Donny Tucker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Moses Matlock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 4 minutes into the game, Damon Gould was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Goodlettsville's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clearfield the free kick. Damon Gould hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Willy Morrow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moses Matlock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sammy Ezell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Donny Tucker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Moses Matlock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donny Tucker struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Moses Matlock didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clearfield. After 22 minutes, Truman Mullins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clearfield and the Goodlettsville players grew even worse after the yellow card. Truman Mullins hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Waldo Best was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 23rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 25th match minute, Goodlettsville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldo Best to maneuver through the defense. Willy Morrow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Marshall Young tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marshall Young was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Ramon Langley capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ramon Langley really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Goodlettsville's Willy Morrow got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After 93 played minutes, Goodlettsville's Waldo Best shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marshall Young came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Goodlettsville reached it. When Goodlettsville's Willy Morrow in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Clearfield's goalie prevented a goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Goodlettsville fans cheered their team off the field, for while Clearfield had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
