The referee showed Rubin Russo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A nice corner shot did that Dean Cavazos got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wesley Sherman quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Leif Borden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Pauls Valley eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
