Kenneth Blevins's late challenge caught a Carroll FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kenneth Blevins helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Barre's Kenneth Blevins got a free kick in the 9th minute. Emilio Potter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 13 minutes, Sylvester Childers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carroll FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sylvester Childers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carroll FC's Emilio Potter got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Barre's Leonard Marcus got a free kick in the 19th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Emilio Potter had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roderick Bermudez. Barre's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emilio Potter was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Carroll FC's Sylvester Childers got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alberto McPherson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerry Finley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Barre's Roderick Bermudez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Barre from getting a goal against them. Emilio Potter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 40 played minutes Carroll FC got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Potter. 42 minutes into the game, one of Carroll FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 43rd minute there was a penalty for Barre. Kenneth Blevins stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alberto McPherson. 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sylvester Childers stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alberto McPherson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerry Finley in the 54th minute of the match. A collision led to Carroll FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Ernie Slater hit a great ball. With his leg Alberto McPherson managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Barre's Rickey McCabe fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rickey McCabe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto McPherson having to interfere. Peter Bautista kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Alberto McPherson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerry Finley in the 65th minute of play. With a little luck, Carroll FC's Alberto McPherson got control of the ball when Rickey McCabe tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carroll FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jerry Finley 70 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. Jerry Finley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute Jerry Finley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto McPherson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerry Finley in the 84th minute of play forced Carroll FC's goalkeeper Alberto McPherson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rickey McCabe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto McPherson having to interfere. Alberto McPherson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerry Finley in the 87th minute of the match. Sylvester Childers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
