Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dwayne Hope started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Gabriel Matthews came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by North Massapequa FC's Cole Stringer. But to his dismay, Cole Stringer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Sean Dodge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 12 minutes into the match, Dwayne Hope notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of North Massapequa FC's Edgardo Li. Edgardo Li was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 17th minute Dwayne Hope shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Li saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rufus Duncan struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Gabriel Matthews didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for North Massapequa FC. In the 23rd minute of the match, Adrian Fay got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gabriel Matthews was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. North Massapequa FC's Edgardo Li played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dwayne Hope in the 25th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Palo Alto AFC's zone, Cole Stringer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Matthews came out of the goal and Cole Stringer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Palo Alto AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Adrian Fay scored to the left of an out of position Gabriel Matthews, making the score, 2-1. Adrian Fay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 33rd minute Sean Dodge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Matthews saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sean Dodge in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gabriel Matthews prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joel Smart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Li having to interfere. Edgardo Li showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Smart in the 37th minute of the match. In the last second Gabriel Matthews throw himself and got hold of the ball when Sean Dodge in the 38thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Sean Dodge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Gabriel Matthews tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Cole Stringer came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the North Massapequa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cole Stringer couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sean Dodge made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Fay in the 51st minute of play forced Palo Alto AFC's goalkeeper Gabriel Matthews to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of North Massapequa FC booed when Palo Alto AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kory Coppack didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgardo Li was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dwayne Hope showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 57 minute of play. After 59 played minutes North Massapequa FC got a freekick which was hit by Randell Butler. After recieving a nice pass, Palo Alto AFC's Kory Coppack tried to score from far away in the 60th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Palo Alto AFC's Joel Smart dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. After 69 minutes, Terence Lacey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the North Massapequa FC and the Palo Alto AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sean Dodge might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gabriel Matthews. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sean Dodge ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 78th minute, Dwayne Hope reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edgardo Li. The goal made the score 2-4. Gabriel Matthews showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rufus Duncan in the 82nd minute of the match. Adrian Fay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Gabriel Matthews tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th match minute, North Massapequa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Randell Butler to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, North Massapequa FC's Basil Glenn got a free kick in the 85th minute. Edgardo Li acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 86th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Kory Coppack. Gabriel Matthews showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sean Dodge, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute.
