The supporters of Egypt Lake booed when Decatur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Ambriz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernardo Cutler got free with Stevie Evans in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dillon Stearns sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Decatur's Dillon Stearns got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 22 minutes, Hank Medina mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Egypt Lake and the Decatur players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hank Medina hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Egypt Lake's Stevie Evans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dillon Stearns in the 25th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Bernardo Cutler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Decatur's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Cutler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stevie Evans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 31st minute, Hunter Lowe sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Egypt Lake's Stevie Evans didn't even have to move. Dillon Stearns sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute, Dillon Stearns got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hank Medina made a kick off. Lawrence Carter charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lawrence Carter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 61 minutes into the game, Bernardo Cutler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Stevie Evans was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bernardo Cutler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Stevie Evans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Egypt Lake's Wesley Summers sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Heriberto Dennison narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Dillon Stearns had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexis Mixon hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. When Decatur's Dillon Stearns in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
