Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Elliott Shipman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claude Gamble, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. 5 minutes into the game, Selinsgrove's Earl Zimmer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elliott Shipman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After having played for 9 minutes, Alberto Hoyt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Recore FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Hoyt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elliott Shipman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trevor Hollandsworth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Trevor Hollandsworth during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Selinsgrove's Trevor Hollandsworth got a free kick in the 15th minute. Elliott Shipman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Earl Zimmer in the 19th minute of the match. Selinsgrove's Royce Lowery got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Boyd Bowles's late challenge caught a Recore FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Boyd Bowles helped the player get up and apologised. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Selinsgrove! When the match had been going on for 27 minutes, Recore FC's Wendell Baez got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Melvin Calderon. Wendell Baez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Melvin Calderon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Hoyt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claude Gamble took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elliott Shipman. Elliott Shipman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trevor Hollandsworth in the 37th minute of play forced Recore FC's goalkeeper Elliott Shipman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Selinsgrove's goalkeeper Melvin Calderon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wendell Baez. After 42 played minutes Recore FC got a freekick which was hit by Tom Coffey. Elliott Shipman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Earl Zimmer went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alberto Hoyt made a kick off. Claude Gamble took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elliott Shipman. Elliott Shipman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. In the 58th minute, Norbert Lemon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Recore FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. In the 62nd minute Earl Zimmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elliott Shipman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Recore FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Nathan Cleveland scored to the left of an out of position Elliott Shipman, making the score, 2-6. Wendell Baez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melvin Calderon having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Trevor Hollandsworth reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Elliott Shipman. The goal made the score 2-7. Elliott Shipman was a little too slow when Claude Gamble got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 2-8. After some careless play in the Recore FC defense, Claude Gamble kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elliott Shipman. The Recore FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elliott Shipman should have stopped the shot. Recore FC's Elliott Shipman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Recore FC from getting a goal against them. Selinsgrove's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
