Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Marcos Willett made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the match, Alex Whitley notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Freeland FC's Steve Kaiser. Steve Kaiser was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Alex Whitley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. Jacques Scott fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steve Kaiser having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Preston Shaw hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Freeland FC's Steve Kaiser played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacques Scott in the 20th minute of play. After 20 played minutes Freeland FC got a freekick which was hit by Lenny Alston. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacques Scott in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Steve Kaiser saved Freeland FC from getting behind. Rockwall's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Marcos Willett 28 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. In the 32nd minute, Richard Childress hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcos Willett recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Jacques Scott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Freeland FC's zone, Alex Whitley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Steve Kaiser came out of the goal and Alex Whitley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jacques Scott came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Rockwall fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacques Scott couldn't finish the play. Alex Whitley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Jacques Scott made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Rockwall's Austin Lugo got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Ace Seay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Corley, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Jacques Scott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brian Hamlin during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd minute, one of Rockwall:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rockwall. With a little luck, Freeland FC's Steve Kaiser got control of the ball when Alex Whitley tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ace Seay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Willett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacques Scott in the 74th minute of play forced Freeland FC's goalkeeper Steve Kaiser to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodrigo Scruggs charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodrigo Scruggs the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Rockwall booed when Freeland FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Scruggs didn't get a good kick on the ball. The attack was good, but when Alex Whitley in the 81st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Raul Corley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ace Seay having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Jacques Scott managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rockwall's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacques Scott was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steve Kaiser breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnold Roy hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Freeland FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jacques Scott 96 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. Alex Whitley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Steve Kaiser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Rockwall failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
