Goliad FC's Wallace Murillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Goliad FC from getting a goal against them. Wyatt Douglas hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Brock Velasquez struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Wallace Murillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Edgard AFC. Edmund Whittaker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wallace Murillo having to interfere. Cruz Sharp was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 20 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Edgard AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Goliad FC:s goal. Shayne Clement walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Edmund Whittaker managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edgard AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmund Whittaker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wallace Murillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 31 minutes into the match, Bobby Dalton dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wallace Murillo, 1-0. In the 33rd match minute, Goliad FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andre Hardin to maneuver through the defense. Bart Garland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andre Hardin in the 41st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Brock Velasquez managed to get in a good position for a shot. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Brock Velasquez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bobby Dalton charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bobby Dalton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 55th minute, Bobby Dalton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Goliad FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wallace Murillo should have stopped the shot. 71 minutes into the match, Edgard AFC's goalkeeper Bart Garland had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andre Hardin. After 73 played minutes Goliad FC got a freekick which was hit by Wendell Crum. Edgard AFC's Brock Velasquez got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Edgard AFC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Genaro Boyle hit a great ball. Wendell Crum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Bart Garland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Goliad FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Andre Hardin hit a great ball. Bobby Dalton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Edgard AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
