Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Winnetka FC's Gregorio Gunn started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Laurence Lugo came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Ketchikan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laurence Lugo couldn't finish the play. Cesar Shaw received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Ivan Walter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was joyful for the audience to see Laurence Lugo dribbling past the opponents defense line in the 11th played minute and put the ball into the net. 1-0. Winnetka FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Laurence Lugo scored to the left of an out of position Ivan Walter, making the score, 2-0. If Gregorio Gunn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nathaniel Cabrera tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Chase Springer. An unnecessary self made goal, 2-1 in the 23rd minute. After some careless play in the Ketchikan defense, Gregorio Gunn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chase Springer. The Ketchikan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chase Springer should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Winnetka FC booed when Ketchikan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesar Shaw didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ketchikan's Laurence Lugo got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Ketchikan's zone, Alfred Gann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chase Springer came out of the goal and Alfred Gann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cesar Shaw made a kick off. After 54 minutes Ketchikan's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hugh Crandall who took care of the corner kick. Gerald Roman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the game, Winnetka FC's Gregorio Gunn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chase Springer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Winnetka FC's Gerald Roman got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
