Ivan Walter didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lionel Daley went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Brady Rowan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Walter having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lionel Daley was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Winnetka FC's goal looked a bit too open when Brady Rowan came free, but Ivan Walter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Winnetka FC's goalkeeper Ivan Walter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee felt a red card was in order, 96 minutes into the game, when Hugh Crandall put in a rough tackle. 96 minutes into the game, one of Winnetka FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.
