All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teddy Ames to make the kick off. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bobby Decker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 64th minute, Dirk Carson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Shelby Hand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Bobby Decker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Otto Suarez put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Bobby Decker. Sandy Anthony fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bobby Decker having to interfere.
