With a left leg Adalberto Church saved Charlotte FC from getting behind. Adalberto Church showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Terrence Numbers in the 11th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Cook in the 12th minute of play forced Charlotte FC's goalkeeper Adalberto Church to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Antonio Lay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute, Terrence Numbers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sutton Place FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Julian Cook charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Julian Cook the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Sutton Place FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Julian Cook hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the match, Sutton Place FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dominic Meredith came free, but Genaro Cobb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nathanial Emerson in the 31st minute of play forced Sutton Place FC's goalkeeper Genaro Cobb to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Genaro Cobb stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christopher Clifton's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Christopher Clifton struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Genaro Cobb didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Charlotte FC. Sutton Place FC's Julian Cook got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Cook to make the kick off. Adalberto Church took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Cook, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Terrence Numbers in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Adalberto Church, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Sutton Place FC's Sebastian Riker got a free kick in the 59th minute. Sutton Place FC's Genaro Cobb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nathanial Emerson in the 66th minute of play. Adalberto Church showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Cook, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Christopher Clifton struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Genaro Cobb didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Sutton Place FC's Terrence Numbers got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frankie Goodson kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Christopher Clifton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Charlotte FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Christopher Clifton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Genaro Cobb breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Julian Cook had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Charlotte FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sutton Place FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Sutton Place FC.
