Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Orlando Doran started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute Weldon Guevara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quincy Rankin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Woodstock's Leif Beard got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Quincy Rankin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Weldon Guevara in the 10th minute of the match. Quincy Rankin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rex Singh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orlando Doran in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marlin Sykes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Ottumwa booed when FC Woodstock was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Collin Honeycutt didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rex Singh in the 22nd minute of play forced FC Woodstock's goalkeeper Quincy Rankin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 24th play minutes Weldon Guevara shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Quincy Rankin and just under the crossbar into goal. Thaddeus Jenkins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rex Singh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Quincy Rankin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, FC Woodstock's goal looked a bit too open when Rex Singh came free, but Quincy Rankin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Ottumwa's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Doran came free, but Marlin Sykes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Weldon Guevara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rex Singh scored 0-4 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Quincy Rankin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rex Singh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Weldon Guevara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rex Singh stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in FC Woodstock's zone, Weldon Guevara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Quincy Rankin came out of the goal and Weldon Guevara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Weldon Guevara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 58 minutes into the match, Ottumwa's goal looked a bit too open when Thaddeus Jenkins came free, but Marlin Sykes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Doran in the 63rd minute of play forced Ottumwa's goalkeeper Marlin Sykes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Weldon Guevara came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Ottumwa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Weldon Guevara couldn't finish the play. In the 68th minute Rex Singh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quincy Rankin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute of the match Lamar Sprague shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Quincy Rankin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ottumwa's Richie Chappelle suffered a sprained foot after 74 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 74th minute, Ronnie McHugh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jon Donahue missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 76 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Quincy Rankin right hand side. Weldon Guevara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Quincy Rankin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Travis Gaston fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Quincy Rankin, passed just outside the right post. Weldon Guevara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marlin Sykes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thaddeus Jenkins in the 88th minute of play. Rex Singh struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Quincy Rankin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ottumwa. Weldon Guevara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quincy Rankin having to interfere. Rex Singh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
