Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Wahpeton AFC's Edmundo Pepper started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the game, Zack Stephens was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Why's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wahpeton AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Why's Zack Stephens got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Brad Rader's late challenge caught a Wahpeton AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brad Rader helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Why's Brad Rader got a free kick in the 4th minute. 6 minutes into the match, Why's Dallas Caballero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cliff Wyatt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cliff Wyatt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dallas Caballero, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brad Rader in the 8th minute of play forced Wahpeton AFC's goalkeeper Cliff Wyatt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Dallas Caballero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wahpeton AFC's Cliff Wyatt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brad Rader in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Santos Griffin notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Wahpeton AFC's Cliff Wyatt. Cliff Wyatt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Why's Dallas Caballero in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wahpeton AFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 24th minute Dallas Caballero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cliff Wyatt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dallas Caballero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th match minute, Wahpeton AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmundo Pepper to maneuver through the defense. Brad Rader received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Cliff Wyatt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd match minute, Why was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zack Stephens to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the match, Wahpeton AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Brad Rader came free, but Cliff Wyatt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the game, Zack Stephens cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Cliff Wyatt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dallas Caballero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Cliff Wyatt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Brad Rader got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Wahpeton AFC's zone, Brad Rader stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cliff Wyatt came out of the goal and Brad Rader tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Why were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Dallas Caballero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Cliff Wyatt successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cliff Wyatt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brad Rader, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dallas Caballero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Brad Rader fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cliff Wyatt having to interfere. With his leg Cliff Wyatt managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Why's Dallas Caballero fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Brad Rader received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Cliff Wyatt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Cliff Wyatt managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Why's Dallas Caballero fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Edmundo Pepper kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Wahpeton AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Brad Rader scored to the left of an out of position Cliff Wyatt, making the score, 0-4. The audience was convinced that Brad Rader's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cliff Wyatt was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Wahpeton AFC's Cliff Wyatt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Wahpeton AFC from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Santos Griffin put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Cliff Wyatt. In the 86th minute, Wahpeton AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dallas Caballero fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 88 minutes into the match, Wahpeton AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Brad Rader came free, but Cliff Wyatt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 90 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Wahpeton AFC! Wahpeton AFC:s Cliff Wyatt showed great skill when he stopped Merlin Love:s penalty. 92 minutes had been played when some careless play by Wahpeton AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Merlin Love was slow to take the kick. During this time Why's players had a chance to rest. Brad Rader made a great header on Why's corner, it was just that Wahpeton AFC's Cliff Wyatt managed to reach the ball for a save. Cliff Wyatt was a little too slow when Perry Huddleston got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 0-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brad Rader in the 99th minute of play forced Wahpeton AFC's goalkeeper Cliff Wyatt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
