An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Robinson in the 9th minute of play forced Malden's goalkeeper Aaron Marsh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aaron Marsh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Warren Bright, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. The audience was convinced that Warren Bright's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aaron Marsh was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. The Fairfield AFC fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Fairfield AFC's Warren Bright looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Hector Velazquez struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Aaron Marsh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fairfield AFC.
