Jared Ogden came free in the 7th minute and tried to tip the ball over Trinidad Fields, but to the joy of Summerside AFC's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. Warren Zuniga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Trimble having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Jesus Pate hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15thth minute of the game Warren Zuniga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but STERLING F.C's Aurelio Trimble was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 21 minutes into the match, STERLING F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Warren Zuniga came free, but Aurelio Trimble reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aurelio Trimble showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Warren Zuniga, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After having played for 26 minutes, Warren Zuniga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Summerside AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Warren Zuniga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aurelio Trimble made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilbert Craig in the 28th minute of play. If Warren Zuniga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilbert Craig in the 32nd minute of play forced STERLING F.C's goalkeeper Aurelio Trimble to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jared Ogden fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored STERLING F.C's protests and gave Jared Ogden a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th match minute, STERLING F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jared Ogden to maneuver through the defense. During the 37th minute of the match Jared Ogden completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jared Ogden a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Warren Zuniga couldn't finish the play. Owen Funk kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Summerside AFC's zone, Jesus Pate stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trinidad Fields came out of the goal and Jesus Pate tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesus Pate in the 75th minute of play forced Summerside AFC's goalkeeper Trinidad Fields to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurelio Trimble made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Warren Zuniga sent off a good shot on target. Warren Zuniga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Trimble having to interfere. Warren Zuniga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. STERLING F.C's Aurelio Trimble played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilbert Craig in the 86th minute of play. Warren Zuniga struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Aurelio Trimble didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Summerside AFC. In the 95th minute, one of STERLING F.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for STERLING F.C.
