Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Cheat Lake's Charlie Mayfield started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Joey Johnston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Cheat Lake getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Weston Holt hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ross Bradford in the 7th minute of play forced Cheat Lake's goalkeeper Archie Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Ross Bradford notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Cheat Lake's Archie Perez. Archie Perez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Larksville's Joey Johnston got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joey Johnston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Archie Perez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Cheat Lake's goal looked a bit too open when Van Fry came free, but Archie Perez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 25 played minutes, Larksville's Emerson Logan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Archie Perez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Larksville reached it. Joey Johnston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Archie Perez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Archie Perez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ross Bradford in the 35th minute of play. In the 37thth minute of the game Ross Bradford who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cheat Lake's Archie Perez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ross Bradford in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Archie Perez saved Cheat Lake from getting behind. Weston Holt got his second yellow card in the match during the 38th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Larksville booed when Cheat Lake was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Weston Holt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Archie Perez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joey Johnston in the 44th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cheat Lake's zone, Joey Johnston stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Archie Perez came out of the goal and Joey Johnston tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ross Bradford stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes in the game, Ross Bradford fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Archie Perez having to interfere. Archie Perez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ross Bradford in the 55th minute of play. Ross Bradford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Joey Johnston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ross Bradford in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Archie Perez saved Cheat Lake from getting behind. Ross Bradford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Archie Perez made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Joey Johnston sent off a good shot on target. Archie Perez didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 77th minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. If Ross Bradford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Archie Perez made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Joey Johnston sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ross Bradford in the 89th minute of play forced Cheat Lake's goalkeeper Archie Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Cheat Lake's goalkeeper Archie Perez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joey Johnston. Larksville's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
