Belen's supporters rose to their feet, but Len Tillman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurelio Trimble breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kraig Humphries hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Aurelio Trimble made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trey Bergstrom in the 45th minute of play. A collision led to STERLING F.C getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Jesus Pate hit a great ball. After the first half Belen were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Jesus Pate made the kick off in the second half. Belen's Trey Bergstrom couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 61st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for STERLING F.C. Aurelio Trimble was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Len Tillman showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 66 minute of play. In the 73rd minute Belen were awarded a corner. Trey Bergstrom went to the cornerflag to take it. Allen Land hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After having played for 88 minutes, Carlo Kane managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlo Kane was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in STERLING F.C's zone, Carlo Kane stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelio Trimble came out of the goal and Carlo Kane tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Belen's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
