Mitchell Babcock didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Village Shires. Chanute FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Village Shires the free kick. After some careless play in the Chanute FC defense, Collin Lindsey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mitchell Babcock. The Chanute FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mitchell Babcock should have stopped the shot. Mitchell Babcock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Collin Lindsey, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. The Chanute FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Village Shires were winning 0-2.
