Spectators: 6737 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1737, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The audience was convinced that Arturo Negron's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mitchell Babcock was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Quinn Woodruff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th minute, Ferdinand Newcomb left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Woodcrest AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Chanute FC's Mitchell Babcock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quinn Woodruff in the 13th minute of play. In the 16th minute Arturo Negron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mitchell Babcock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arturo Negron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mitchell Babcock having to interfere. When Woodcrest AFC's Quinn Woodruff in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chanute FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 21 minutes, Vernon Cantrell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chanute FC and the Woodcrest AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Chanute FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Vernon Cantrell hit a great ball. Marty Sito charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marty Sito the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Chanute FC booed when Woodcrest AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marty Sito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abe Covington hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Mitchell Babcock came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Woodcrest AFC's Quinn Woodruff. But to his dismay, Quinn Woodruff quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Marty Sito hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Mitchell Babcock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quinn Woodruff, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Negron in the 36th minute of play forced Chanute FC's goalkeeper Mitchell Babcock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Quinn Woodruff in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mitchell Babcock saved Chanute FC from getting behind. Arturo Negron blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mitchell Babcock having to make a save. Mitchell Babcock didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Quinn Woodruff went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Erik Addison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rhett Leslie having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Quinn Woodruff was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th match minute, Woodcrest AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferdinand Newcomb to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roland Rankin in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rhett Leslie saved Woodcrest AFC from getting behind. In the 61st minute Quinn Woodruff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mitchell Babcock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Addison in the 63rd minute of play forced Woodcrest AFC's goalkeeper Rhett Leslie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rhett Leslie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roland Rankin, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. The supporters of Woodcrest AFC booed when Chanute FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abe Covington didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th match minute, Woodcrest AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Scottie Ybarra to maneuver through the defense. Roscoe Valentin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rhett Leslie. Woodcrest AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Woodcrest AFC's goalkeeper Rhett Leslie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 93rd minute by Arturo Negron got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Arturo Negron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Chanute FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Woodcrest AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
