Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sidney Slaughter started the match with the kick off. Kraig Velasquez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Johnny Lopez made a huge save. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Abraham Stinson sped through French Island's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rueben Sutherland. Randall Dodge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute, Alexis Moses made a precise shot to the right of Rueben Sutherland. French Island's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abraham Stinson in the 27th minute of play forced French Island's goalkeeper Rueben Sutherland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd match minute, Johnson City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blair Goodwin to maneuver through the defense. In the 35thth minute of the game Alexis Moses who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but French Island's Rueben Sutherland was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alexis Moses received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Rueben Sutherland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute Abraham Stinson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rueben Sutherland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rueben Sutherland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexis Moses, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. When Johnson City FC's Abraham Stinson in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexis Moses to make the kick off. Johnson City FC's Alexis Moses got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abraham Stinson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. In the 69thth minute of the game Alexis Moses who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but French Island's Rueben Sutherland was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 71st minute Alexis Moses shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rueben Sutherland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rueben Sutherland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexis Moses in the 73rd minute of play. Kraig Velasquez kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. French Island's Rueben Sutherland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexis Moses in the 81st minute of play. After having played for 85 minutes, Abraham Stinson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Johnson City FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abraham Stinson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Johnson City FC fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Johnson City FC's Abraham Stinson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sidney Slaughter during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sidney Slaughter kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Abraham Stinson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rueben Sutherland having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in French Island's zone, Alexis Moses stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rueben Sutherland came out of the goal and Alexis Moses tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95th minute, one of French Island:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for French Island. In the 97th minute there was a penalty for Johnson City FC. Ed Toney stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rueben Sutherland. 0-5. Johnson City FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
