When Zachary Dietz fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Culpeper FC's protests and gave Zachary Dietz a yellow card for diving instead. Zachary Dietz hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Ricardo Cronin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Todd Toth in the 9th minute of the match. Ricardo Cronin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Todd Toth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benjamin Montes succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 23rd playminute. Brent Rodgers struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Ricardo Cronin came out of the goal and Brent Rodgers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Todd Toth was the one to do the kick off. If Brent Rodgers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Culpeper FC's Quintin McPherson got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Brent Rodgers struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. In the 94thth minute of the game Todd Toth who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Culpeper FC's Ricardo Cronin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Culpeper FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
