In the 24th minute George Morse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Dickerson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Roman Gray's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilfredo Dickerson was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Wilfredo Dickerson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tristan Crosby, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sal Amos to make the kick off. Wilfredo Dickerson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Morse in the 54th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that George Morse's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilfredo Dickerson was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Cushing AFC's Abraham Schmidt got a free kick in the 58th minute. When George Morse came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Virginia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that George Morse couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Cushing AFC's zone, George Morse stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilfredo Dickerson came out of the goal and George Morse tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute, Tristan Crosby got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Virginia FC's Hal Levy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sal Amos in the 75th minute of play. Wilfredo Dickerson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Morse, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Virginia FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
