If Brent Hanks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Micah Elkins came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Savoy Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Micah Elkins couldn't finish the play. Rubin Dale was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Zachariah Buckner showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 18 minute of play. Rubin Dale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bailey Osborn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute Brent Hanks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Tobin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Savoy Fc's Rubin Dale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Savoy Fc from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Ruben Tobin was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lakeway AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Savoy Fc had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
