Wilfred Meyers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Neal Hammer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilfred Meyers in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Neal Hammer saved Gran Equipo de America from getting behind. Neal Hammer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfred Meyers in the 28th minute of play. Neal Hammer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Palmer Juarez's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. If Nick Sands had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilfred Meyers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Neal Hammer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute Wilfred Meyers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Neal Hammer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lamar Hogue during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilfred Meyers to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Nick Sands shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Neal Hammer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Palacios fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when Palacios's Nick Sands looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gran Equipo de America's Neal Hammer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nick Sands in the 61st minute of play. Neal Hammer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nick Sands, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 68 minutes of play, Palacios's Wilfred Meyers made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
