Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Lee Leon got the match started through his kick off. Matthew Sanderson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Colby Stein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matthew Sanderson scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Colby Stein, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Cherryland getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Pete Sheehan hit a great ball. Pete Sheehan's late challenge caught a Milford Mill's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pete Sheehan helped the player get up and apologised. Milford Mill's Lee Leon got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Cherryland's Steven Trent sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Allen Herring narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 20th minute Steven Trent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allen Herring saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matthew Sanderson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colby Stein having to interfere. If Kirk Numbers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute Steven Trent suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 29 minutes, Collin Dean mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Milford Mill and the Cherryland players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Milford Mill was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Collin Dean to maneuver through the defense. Kirk Numbers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Allen Herring tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Perry Cano hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Kirk Numbers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cherryland's supporters rose to their feet, but Kirk Numbers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Allen Herring breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Allen Herring took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pete Sheehan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lee Leon took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Colby Stein. Colby Stein dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, Milford Mill's Lee Leon got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The excitement rose when Milford Mill's Rob Newton after 46 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Cherryland's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 0-3. After the first half Milford Mill were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Forrest Paulson to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, one of Cherryland:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cherryland. When the match had been going on for 54 minutes, Milford Mill's Rob Newton got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Colby Stein. Pete Sheehan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Allen Herring tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Colby Stein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lee Leon, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Lee Leon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Colby Stein. That made the score 0-5 in the 77 minute of play. Matthew Sanderson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Colby Stein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lee Leon in the 92nd minute of play. The Milford Mill players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
