Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ernie Negron started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The crowd rose to their feet as Colby Mallory kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tommy Spencer. That made the score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. In the 10th minute, Colby Mallory got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 16 minutes, Ernie Negron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vail's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernie Negron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 18th minute, Lionel Wallace got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Colby Mallory got free with Tommy Spencer in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 26 minutes, Lionel Wallace managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vail's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lionel Wallace was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Tommy Spencer managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Coatesville's Colby Mallory fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Ernie Negron sped through Coatesville's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Henry Cortes. After a defensive mix-up in Coatesville's zone, Ernie Negron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henry Cortes came out of the goal and Ernie Negron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wally McNeal to make the kick off. Ernie Negron struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Henry Cortes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vail. After a defensive mix-up in Coatesville's zone, Lionel Wallace stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henry Cortes came out of the goal and Lionel Wallace tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th minute, Vail's Ernie Negron ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Henry Cortes. Henry Cortes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. In the 58th minute Ernie Negron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Cortes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lionel Wallace received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Henry Cortes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Coatesville's Henry Cortes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Coatesville from getting a goal against them. Lionel Wallace's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henry Cortes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. After 72 played minutes Coatesville got a freekick which was hit by Parker Hayden. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lionel Wallace got free with Henry Cortes in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 80th minute of the match Fabian Davidson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommy Spencer skillfully saved the ball. In the 83rd minute, Vail's Ernie Negron ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Henry Cortes. Henry Cortes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. The Coatesville fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Vail were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
