After 18 played minutes Coatesville got a freekick which was hit by Wally McNeal. When Wallace Ragsdale fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barboursville's protests and gave Wallace Ragsdale a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 played minutes Barboursville got a freekick which was hit by Wallace Ragsdale. The audience was convinced that Ahmed Pierce's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henry Cortes was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Henry Cortes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo McKinnon in the 35th minute of play. Henry Cortes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmed Pierce in the 36th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Jacob Dodson notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Coatesville's Henry Cortes. Henry Cortes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Osvaldo McKinnon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Barboursville's Ahmed Pierce got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Henry Cortes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo McKinnon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 58 played minutes Barboursville got a freekick which was hit by Wallace Ragsdale. Henry Cortes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo McKinnon in the 66th minute of play. Osvaldo McKinnon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wally McNeal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Arroyo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wally McNeal in the 75th minute of play forced Barboursville's goalkeeper Gilbert Arroyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Merlin Donahue came free in the 87th minute and tried to tip the ball over Henry Cortes, but to the joy of Coatesville's supporters the ball went over. In the 91st minute, Lyle Morrow hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barboursville's Gilbert Arroyo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wally McNeal in the 95th minute of play.
