In the 19th minute, one of Naples AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Naples AFC. In the 21st minute there was a penalty for Inter Miami CF. Basil Ham stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eddie Shearer. 1-1. If J.P. Lewis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thaddeus Espinoza was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Boyd Ferreira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 29 minute of play. Rosario Maynard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mohammed Fowler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
