The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When JiNan QuanYun's Alvin Dwyer in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Millville's goalie prevented a goal. Sylvester Miranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvin Dwyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Homer Johnston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Sylvester Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Norbert Green recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Francisco Katz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute, Millville's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Homer Johnston fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. JiNan QuanYun's Alvin Dwyer got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Homer Johnston got free with Sylvester Miranda in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alvin Dwyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Sylvester Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dwayne Paige's late challenge caught a JiNan QuanYun's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dwayne Paige helped the player get up and apologised. Dwayne Paige kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 27th match minute, Millville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willie Delarosa to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Millville's zone, Alvin Dwyer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sylvester Miranda came out of the goal and Alvin Dwyer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francisco Katz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sylvester Miranda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvin Dwyer, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Alvin Dwyer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Alvin Dwyer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Maurice Engel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Alvin Dwyer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Maurice Engel sped through Millville's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sylvester Miranda. In the 65th minute, Francisco Katz fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Randell Barger, passed just outside the right post. After a rather tough play, JiNan QuanYun's Asher Levy got a free kick in the 67th minute. 72 minutes into the match, JiNan QuanYun's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Katz came free, but Randell Barger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustavo Gaston during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 76 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Millville! If Homer Johnston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute Francisco Katz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Randell Barger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Homer Johnston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sylvester Miranda having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Millville's zone, Homer Johnston stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sylvester Miranda came out of the goal and Homer Johnston tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Homer Johnston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alvin Dwyer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Willie Delarosa hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After having played for 96 minutes, Alvin Dwyer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JiNan QuanYun's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alvin Dwyer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Alvin Dwyer came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the JiNan QuanYun fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvin Dwyer couldn't finish the play. Homer Johnston recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 99th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
