Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Maple Grove AFC's Blaine Hurd started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Kip Diamond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11thth minute of the game Luke Maloney who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bennettsville's Tommy Vogel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benjamin Parish kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Tommy Vogel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blaine Hurd in the 18th minute of play. Luke Maloney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Tommy Vogel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blaine Hurd scored 0-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Vogel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Blaine Hurd in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Vogel saved Bennettsville from getting behind. Donny Hart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charlton Yeats having to interfere. Luke Maloney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Vogel having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Bennettsville's goal looked a bit too open when Blaine Hurd came free, but Tommy Vogel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Maple Grove AFC's Charlton Yeats got control of the ball when Brent Currie tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tommy Vogel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luke Maloney, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Bennettsville defense, Luke Maloney kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Vogel. The Bennettsville fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Vogel should have stopped the shot. In the 48th play minute Brent Currie came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Charlton Yeats. 1-2. After the first half Maple Grove AFC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Donny Hart to make the kick off. Maple Grove AFC's Luke Maloney got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brent Currie in the 56th minute of play forced Maple Grove AFC's goalkeeper Charlton Yeats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brent Currie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Brent Currie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bennettsville's Tommy Vogel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blaine Hurd in the 72nd minute of play. A collision led to Maple Grove AFC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Kip Diamond hit a great ball. Tommy Vogel acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 84th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Carlo Pace. 90 minutes into the match, Maple Grove AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Brent Currie came free, but Charlton Yeats reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donny Hart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
