In the 15th match minute, Ranger FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Nielsen to maneuver through the defense. Oscar Nielsen was extremely unlucky when he, in the 19th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Wilfred Weeks managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ranger FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilfred Weeks was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Salvatore McCormick breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
