Van Buckley hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 12th match minute, Sapulpa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Len Coppack to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the game, Stonewood's Douglass Gilbert nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oscar Shook made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Douglass Gilbert might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oscar Shook. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Douglass Gilbert ran back to his position shaking his head. If Heriberto Franco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglass Gilbert in the 22nd minute of play forced Sapulpa FC's goalkeeper Oscar Shook to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stacey Norman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adalberto Walden in the 24th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Stonewood's goal looked a bit too open when Len Coppack came free, but Stacey Norman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Sapulpa FC's Van Buckley slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Stacey Norman. That made the score 1-1 after 27 minutes of play. After 30 minutes of play, Stonewood's Lawrence Meier made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oscar Shook was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Stonewood booed when Sapulpa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adalberto Walden didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lawrence Meier struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Oscar Shook didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stonewood. In the 37thth minute of the game Adalberto Walden who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stonewood's Stacey Norman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adalberto Walden in the 39th minute of play forced Stonewood's goalkeeper Stacey Norman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglass Gilbert in the 40th minute of play forced Sapulpa FC's goalkeeper Oscar Shook to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The wind increased when Adalberto Walden made the kick off in the second half. Lawrence Meier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Oscar Shook tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Stonewood's Stacey Norman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Len Coppack in the 68th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sapulpa FC's Trent Gibson got a free kick in the 69th minute. Douglass Gilbert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stacey Norman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adalberto Walden, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After 91 played minutes, Sapulpa FC's Winfred Ford shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Stacey Norman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sapulpa FC reached it. After some careless play in the Stonewood defense, Len Coppack kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stacey Norman. The Stonewood fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stacey Norman should have stopped the shot. When the match was over Stonewood could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sapulpa FC throughout the match.
