Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dirk Hargrove kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute Alexander Horner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Reese saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfred Landis in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felipe Reese prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oren Arnold struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Walter Handy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ansonia AFC. After having played for 20 minutes, Young Hatch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cottonwood West FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Young Hatch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Felipe Reese took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexander Horner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Alexander Horner made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Cottonwood West FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Douglass Whittaker to maneuver through the defense. Ervin Velasquez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Walter Handy. Cottonwood West FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Alfred Landis fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cottonwood West FC's protests and gave Alfred Landis a yellow card for diving instead. Alfred Landis hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Young Hatch managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cottonwood West FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Young Hatch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felipe Reese breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Young Hatch got free with Felipe Reese in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Ansonia AFC's Mitch Shepherd got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 69th minute, Young Hatch got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 73rd minute, Dirk Hargrove ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Walter Handy was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After a rather tough play, Ansonia AFC's Marlin Talley got a free kick in the 79th minute. Young Hatch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Felipe Reese tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alexander Horner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felipe Reese didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Cottonwood West FC's Alexander Horner shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Ansonia AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Cottonwood West FC for a fine match.
