Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Odem's Preston Barnett started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Oscar Winslow managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Odem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar Winslow was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cobi Pollard took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for German Kern. Odem's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Darryl Elliot during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 16 minutes, Francisco Holcomb made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Odem's German Kern tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 21st minute, Monty Wall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Preston Barnett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 25 played minutes Odem got a freekick which was hit by Mervin Boudreaux. After recieving a nice pass, Cuero FC's Mitch Trujillo tried to score from far away in the 26th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Cuero FC's zone, Oscar Winslow stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Forrest Berry came out of the goal and Oscar Winslow tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. German Kern made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rob Weldon in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Francisco Holcomb got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cuero FC's Forrest Berry played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Preston Barnett in the 44th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cuero FC's Monty Wall got a free kick in the 45th minute. An unexpected shot in the 48th minute by Preston Barnett got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The Odem players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cuero FC were winning 0-1.

Archie Grier kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Mervin Boudreaux sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Cuero FC's Forrest Berry didn't even have to move. In the 72nd minute, Preston Barnett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute, Francisco Holcomb got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 86th minute, Maxwell Huggins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mitch Trujillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. German Kern made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Rob Weldon sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Holcomb in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck German Kern prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rob Weldon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without German Kern having to make a save. 98 minutes into the match, Odem's goalkeeper German Kern had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rob Weldon. The Cuero FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
