Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joseph Tilley started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joseph Tilley in the 3rd minute of play forced St. James FC's goalkeeper Pete Costello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrew Leach charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrew Leach the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to St. James FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Andrew Leach hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kerry Dickey in the 17th minute of play forced Plantation FC's goalkeeper Willy Warren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Plantation FC's Eldon Schmitt got a free kick in the 21st minute. Andrew Leach kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 27th minute of the match Joseph Tilley sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pete Costello skillfully saved the ball. After 29 minutes, Joseph Tilley made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. St. James FC's Pete Costello tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Byron Winn blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pete Costello having to make a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Kerry Dickey made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Clint Blount shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willy Warren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrew Leach got his second yellow card in the match during the 61st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Andrew Leach hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, Joseph Tilley ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pete Costello was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Kelly Chaney made in the 70th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Gerard Solomon immediately put the ball in play. Pete Costello was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Jared Alston capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jared Alston really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. St. James FC's Pete Costello proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save St. James FC from getting a goal against them. Jared Alston received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pete Costello came out and tried to block the shot, but Jared Alston slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 77th minute. Byron Winn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Pete Costello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clint Blount's late challenge caught a Plantation FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Clint Blount helped the player get up and apologised. Clint Blount hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. If Joseph Tilley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the game, Plantation FC's Franklin English nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pete Costello made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. In the 91st minute, Bernardo Huang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adam Fay hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. A collision led to Plantation FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Eldon Schmitt hit a great ball. When the match was over Plantation FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than St. James FC throughout the match.
