The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stuart Decker during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Walbridge AFC's Stuart Decker got a free kick in the 7th minute. If Wilfred Dubois had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Kasey Dudley came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Walbridge AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kasey Dudley couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in DC United's zone, Emerson Huddleston stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reinaldo Herndon came out of the goal and Emerson Huddleston tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. DC United's Reinaldo Herndon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save DC United from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, DC United's Wilfred Dubois got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute, Grady Barnes sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and DC United's Reinaldo Herndon didn't even have to move. Kasey Dudley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Herndon having to interfere. Kirby Wyatt hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Kasey Dudley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Reinaldo Herndon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Arnoldo Blue took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Reinaldo Herndon to make any attempt to save it. Bobby Staley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Reinaldo Herndon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kirby Wyatt kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Duane Hanson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Herndon having to interfere. When Kirby Wyatt fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DC United's protests and gave Kirby Wyatt a yellow card for diving instead. In the 59th minute, Kasey Dudley made a precise shot to the right of Reinaldo Herndon. DC United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 63rd minute Kasey Dudley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reinaldo Herndon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, DC United's goal looked a bit too open when Kasey Dudley came free, but Reinaldo Herndon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnoldo Blue struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Reinaldo Herndon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Walbridge AFC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kasey Dudley in the 69th minute of play forced DC United's goalkeeper Reinaldo Herndon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Kasey Dudley notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of DC United's Reinaldo Herndon. Reinaldo Herndon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kasey Dudley struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Reinaldo Herndon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Walbridge AFC. Reinaldo Herndon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kasey Dudley, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Wilfred Dubois had several of the Walbridge AFC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 89 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-1 score and a disappointed C.J. Wilkins as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 98th minute Walbridge AFC were awarded a corner. Grady Barnes went to the cornerflag to take it. Walbridge AFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
