Wally Swenson charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Wisconsin Rapids FC booed when Almont FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wally Swenson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Almont FC's goal looked a bit too open when Grant Doran came free, but Ivan Hinds reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grant Doran in the 16th minute of play forced Almont FC's goalkeeper Ivan Hinds to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute Grant Doran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Hinds saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivan Hinds showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles Edmonds, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Almont FC's goal looked a bit too open when Grant Doran came free, but Ivan Hinds reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilton Cooper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Sanford Richard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 47 minutes, Grant Doran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wisconsin Rapids FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Grant Doran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Grant Doran was the one to do the kick off. Pedro Bryant recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 52nd match minute, Almont FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Gale to maneuver through the defense. Wilton Cooper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Sanford Richard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 60 minutes, Lanny Mathews mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wisconsin Rapids FC and the Almont FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lanny Mathews kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute Wilton Cooper shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sanford Richard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Wilton Cooper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, Wilton Cooper had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sanford Richard. Wisconsin Rapids FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wilton Cooper was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Ivan Hinds made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Robby Flaherty sent off a good shot on target. Robby Flaherty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 74 played minutes Wisconsin Rapids FC got a freekick which was hit by Dante Milton. A collision led to Wisconsin Rapids FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Grant Doran hit a great ball. The supporters of Almont FC booed when Wisconsin Rapids FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dante Milton didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Wilton Cooper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Almont FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
