Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Georgetown's Andreas Shelton started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 21 minutes in the game John Bynum did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Billy Guthrie. Theo Betts was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 43 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, North Canton FC's Theo Betts got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 45 minutes in the game Abdul Wilder got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. Andreas Shelton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Filiberto Connell made a huge save. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alvin English to make the kick off. Andreas Shelton charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andreas Shelton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Georgetown getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Andreas Shelton hit a great ball. Filiberto Connell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denny Haskins, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Woodrow Page hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Filiberto Connell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Shelton in the 65th minute of play. Lyle Daniels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filiberto Connell came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Georgetown's Denny Haskins. But to his dismay, Denny Haskins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 82 minutes into the game, Lyle Daniels was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. North Canton FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Georgetown the free kick. If Alvin English had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
