Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rolando Webber started the match with the kick off. Casey Pike made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Merle Barton in the 3rd minute of play. Loogootee FC's Casey Pike played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nolan Muniz in the 8th minute of play. Rolando Webber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percy Bain having to interfere. Percy Bain made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Rex May sent off a good shot on target. Keith Wade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Casey Pike tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Keith Wade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Loogootee FC's Andy Powers broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A collision led to Loogootee FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Lance Barr hit a great ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Merle Barton was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Merle Barton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casey Pike saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Merle Barton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rolando Webber struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Percy Bain didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Loogootee FC. Casey Pike showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Merle Barton, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After a rather tough play, Edmonds's Merle Barton got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 69th minute, Rolando Webber ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Percy Bain was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nolan Muniz got free with Casey Pike in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rex May fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percy Bain having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Edmonds players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Loogootee FC.
