The audience was convinced that Kermit Maher's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilfred McDaniel was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. After having played for 29 minutes, Guy Landis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guy Landis might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emery Dupree. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guy Landis ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Randell Bower during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Bee Ridge getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Randell Bower hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Guy Landis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Emery Dupree showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guy Landis, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After 81 minutes of play, The Plains FC's Reyes Delarosa made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emery Dupree was left in no man's land by his defense there! 85 minutes into the game, Guy Landis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Emery Dupree was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 89th minute, Seth Roe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilfred McDaniel was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Bee Ridge's Emery Dupree played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guy Landis in the 94th minute of play. Reyes Delarosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emery Dupree. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reyes Delarosa ran back to his position shaking his head. When Guy Landis came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the The Plains FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guy Landis couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. The Plains FC had played much better football throughout.
