Wesley Shultz stood somewhat misplaced when Brad Baxter came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 8 minute. After 11 played minutes Tottenham Hotspur got a freekick which was hit by Devin Whitman. If Zachariah Hardy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brad Baxter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Devin Whitman hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. If Zachariah Hardy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeff Mahoney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute, Brad Baxter made a precise shot to the right of Wesley Shultz. Chelsea F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Brad Baxter could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Wesley Shultz made a huge save. When Brad Baxter came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Tottenham Hotspur fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brad Baxter couldn't finish the play. If Brad Baxter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 44th minute of the match, Jeff Mahoney tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wesley Shultz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Brad Baxter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Rigoberto Engle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wesley Shultz having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brad Baxter in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wesley Shultz saved Chelsea F.C. from getting behind. In the 61st minute Jeff Mahoney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wesley Shultz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rigoberto Engle's late challenge caught a Chelsea F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rigoberto Engle helped the player get up and apologised. Rigoberto Engle hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. A.J. Conway recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wesley Shultz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jeff Mahoney went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Wesley Shultz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brad Baxter, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Brad Baxter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jeff Mahoney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute Jeff Mahoney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wesley Shultz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Devin Whitman was shown his second yellow card after 85 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Lawrence Escobedo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Alfred Samuel. Brad Baxter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rigoberto Engle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wesley Shultz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brad Baxter in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wesley Shultz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chelsea F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
