Jeff Mahoney received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. If Brad Baxter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the game, Colin Bernard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Imlay City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tottenham Hotspur the free kick. Shaun Graves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brad Baxter in the 30th minute. In the 92nd minute, Brad Baxter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 95 minutes into the game, Jeff Mahoney cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1.
