In the 8th minute, Hank Denton made a precise shot to the right of Tyson Brooks. MTZ Football Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The supporters of MTZ Football Club booed when Pickens was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enoch Saenz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tyson Brooks stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hank Denton's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Dexter Redmond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. MTZ Football Club's Tyson Brooks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hank Denton in the 33rd minute of play. Scotty Owens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hank Denton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tyson Brooks having to interfere. 40 minutes into the game, Hank Denton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Tyson Brooks was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in MTZ Football Club's zone, Hank Denton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tyson Brooks came out of the goal and Hank Denton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adalberto McNally got in the 46th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Tyson Brooks handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Pickens's Yong Tracy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Pickens from getting a goal against them.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adalberto McNally to make the kick off. Yong Tracy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dexter Redmond in the 54th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Pickens's Adalberto McNally ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tyson Brooks. Tyson Brooks yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. An unexpected shot in the 64th minute by Wilford Raines got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 66 played minutes MTZ Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Nick Butcher. 67 minutes into the match, Pickens's Frank Bristol broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Adalberto McNally had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Adalberto McNally dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tyson Brooks, 0-4. Sid Hutchins kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 84th minute Hank Denton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyson Brooks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sydney Longoria kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Fabian Roe took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Yong Tracy. Pickens's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tyson Brooks made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Hank Denton sent off a good shot on target. Adalberto McNally received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Tyson Brooks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Pickens left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than MTZ Football Club.
