Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wallace Lincoln started the match with the kick off. Wallace Lincoln sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Duane Katz during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pearl River's Duane Katz got a free kick in the 11th minute. After 15 played minutes Birmingham Blinders got a freekick which was hit by Lonnie Souza. Reynaldo Becker made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Kip Reyna sent off a good shot on target. Birmingham Blinders's Reynaldo Becker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jamel Meyer in the 18th minute of play. Birmingham Blinders's Reynaldo Becker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Birmingham Blinders from getting a goal against them. 22 minutes into the match, Birmingham Blinders's goalkeeper Reynaldo Becker had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipe Booth. Reynaldo Becker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Colin Sands, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felipe Booth's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Reynaldo Becker skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kip Reyna got free with Reynaldo Becker in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Birmingham Blinders's Reynaldo Becker got control of the ball when Kip Reyna tried to sneak it across the goal line. Felipe Booth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Reynaldo Becker made a huge save. Wallace Lincoln sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felipe Booth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Reynaldo Becker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reynaldo Becker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jamel Meyer in the 47th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Reynaldo Becker came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Pearl River's Felipe Booth. But to his dismay, Felipe Booth quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Reynaldo Becker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Booth in the 58th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Birmingham Blinders's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Booth came free, but Reynaldo Becker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Javier Pennington's late challenge caught a Birmingham Blinders's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Javier Pennington helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd match minute, Pearl River was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Pennington to maneuver through the defense. Reynaldo Becker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Booth in the 64th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Birmingham Blinders players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
